Launching Mistho
All of us have experienced the draw on energy when looking to rent a flat, get a loan, buy a house or even just change your bank account where you deposit your salary. Processes are slow often with lengthy forms to fill out, follow-ups via phone with the other side or the HR department and manual upload of documents or mailing of sensitive information. It is evident, that despite advances in open banking infrastructure, from a consumer perspective there still remains a lot to be done to advance to the future of open finance where the consumer can share his data, whenever he wants with whomever he wants.
In addition, we live in a world where data is warehoused by credit rating agencies, who bundle data about the consumer, without his explicit consent creating credit scores that ultimately decide on access to fundamental financial services.
We believe the old entrenched way of doing things is about to be replaced by a more seamless, consent driven and trustworthy alternative.
What is mistho?
Mistho is a young startup founded by passionate disruptors in Berlin developing the first of it’s kind European open payroll API, that enables consumers to share their data with 3rd parties in a consent-based format via direct access to their payroll accounts.
Our believe is that open payroll will power the next generation of financial and non-financial applications in Europe and the UK, enabling a better more trusth-worthy exchange of data built on top of a fast, efficient, stable and developer-friendly infrastructure.
Our remote team is building a set of unique APIs that any startup, fintech or incumbent player in Europe and the UK can utilize to enable consumers to more easily share any payroll data with them, enabling better UX while at the same time reducing fraud risk and improving data quality. Our API enables all this in one simple integration, that can be implemented in minutes with just a few lines of code. In addition, we grow with our partners based on a fully variable pricing model with no upfront investments required.
